OKP Premiere: Pep Love Channels Breezy Blessed Coast Vibes On The Self-Produced 'Dolla Daily' EP

Hieroglyphics crew co-founder Pep Love has been a bit of an enigma over the last few years, having last left us with the Rigmarole LP back in 2012. But it's a new day for the Oakland via Jackson, MS MC and he's got a few new tricks up his sleeve. Today we have the pleasure of premiering his wholly self-produced Dolla Daily EP, which finds Pep behind the mic and the boards in a proper treatment of breezy Blessed Coast vibes.

The album commences with a choppy montage and lighter-holding for some of the greats, running through quick blurbs of classic cuts like Slum Village's "Get Dis Money," The O'Jays' "For The Love Of Money" and Wu-Tang's "C.R.E.A.M" for a quick audible history course before launching into his own Dilla-fide joint "Y.O.L.O." A torrent of Pep's seasoned verbal grammar storms through subsequent numbers like the light-hearted swing of "Parasail Ferris Wheel" and the lush, funk-fortified frequencies of clear-cut standouts "Stargazin'," "Bah Blacksheep" and the Opio-assisted blapper "Macaroni And Cheese." Safe to say, the Hiero camp's unspoken hero is back and in full effect. Stream his dynamic and wavy self-helmed Dolla Daily EP below and keep your head on a swivel for what's to come.
