Pharoahe Monch Drops "Get Down" (prod. by M-Phazes) + 'Combat Jack' & 'Juan Ep' Interviews
Pharoahe Monch lets loose another heater with "Get Down," released for the high crate-digging holiday Record Store Day this past weekend. The M-Phazes produced one-off is another gleaming spectacle, featuring Monch's expert rhyme-saying over some chopped soul cuts, resulting in a wholly gratifying boom-bapper. The track comes to us at the end of the very week in which we saw him drop the highly awaited and now unanimously cherished PTSD LP and in true-form, your boy had to do the typical podcast press runs to support. So we've got two hefty hour-plus sit-downs with two of our favorite curators on the internets; The Combat Jack Show and the minds that bring us Juan Epstein(Pete Rosenberg & Cipha Sounds.)
Its all the Monch you need and more. So rock with the latest flame from The Queens bomber below and peep his interviews with The Sun Gods of the Internets and the Juan Ep crew. NYC locals can catch Monch on May 8th as he performs for Heineken Green Room's Beat Society Littlefields. The event will be hosted by Pete and Torae and is slated to feature appearances from some native NY heat with the like of Statik, Jean Grae, Apollo Brown and !llmind joining the bill.
