Starstruck Police Pull Over Erykah Badu In Dallas On New Year's Eve
Erykah Badu's year is off to a strange start.
Erykah Badu’sweekend was unexpectedly interrupted by flashing red and blue cop car lights Sunday night in Dallas.

Badu posted a video to Instagram on New Year’s Eve captioned “WTF BABYLON!! HAPPY NEW YEAREZZZZ!”

In the video, Badu pans her phone’s camera to the driver side window, showing two officers leaning over and smiling into the camera.
Badu, who appeared to have a young child in the car asks, “Why are you pulling me over?” One of the officers replies, “I wanted to say hi.”
Though Badu seems to have laughed the incident off, some fans are deeming the officer’s stop an abuse of power. Others believe their behavior was unprofessional.
