Prince Estate Shares Unreleased Video for "Manic Monday"
The clip features rare footage from the airplane-hangar-turned-rehearsal-studio of pre-Purple Rain lore.
Yesterday, the Prince compilation, Originals, officially broke free of its TIDAL exclusivity. For casual and devout fans alike, it offers a rare glimpse at the demos for songs that would go on to shape -- and eventually, define -- the careers of artists not named Prince.

And today, The Purple One's estate has pried yet another gem from the vault. As a companion to the "Manic Monday" demo, the estate has set a montage of rare footage -- culled from the mythical airplane-hangar-turned-rehearsal-studio -- to the track that would eventually become a smash for The Bengals. According to Ronin Ro's Prince: Inside The Music and The Masks, "Manic Monday" was recorded at the all-purpose facility that for a short time housed his pre-Paisley Park recording studio and rehearsal space, but was originally intended for Apollonia 6.
