CBS This Morning aired Gayle King's interview with Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary, the two women romantically linked with the R&B singer who is back in jail for failing to pay his child support.
The parents of the women have accused Kelly of brainwishing their daughters and treating them as "sex slaves." But the two women told King that they love Kelly and aren't being held against their will. They also echoed Kelly's claim that their parents handed them to the singer.
"We both have our individual relationships with him, and we all are a family, all together," Clary said.
From there, Clary went on to claim that her parents encouraged her to take sexual photos and videos with Kelly when she was 17. Clary, who is now 21, met Kelly when she was 17. Savage, who is now 23, met Kelly when she was 19.
"My parents told me to lie about my age, so when I first met Kelly, he thought I was 18," Clary said. "When I was 17, my parents were trying to make me take photos with him, take sexual videos with him. And they said, if they ever had to blackmail him, which they're trying to do now, they can use it against him, which is exactly what they're doing."
"Our parents are out here just to get money," Savage said in agreement with Clary.
"They're starting to send threats to both me and him, they said, 'I'll put all your naked pictures all over the world, I'm going to ruin you and him if he don't send 20,000 to this bank account by Monday, and then 10,000 after that,'" Clary continued before addressing her parents. "You're trying to solicit me like I'm some kind of f**king hoe. I'm not, I'm your child."
"This is the first time hearing, to be honest with you, that your parents are trying to get money from R. Kelly," King responded.
"You guys don't know the truth. You guys are believing some f**king facade that our parents are saying. This is all f**king lies for money and if you can't see that then you're ignorant and you're stupid as f**k because you want to be," Clary responded as she began to cry. "All because that's the world we live in. Negativity is what sells. Gossip is what sells. Rumors are what sells."
Both sets of parents have denied ever asking Kelly for money or receiving money from him.
King also revealed that Kelly was in the room with the women while the interview was conducted. He was around the corner and would cough very loudly "so they were aware that he was there." Initially, Kelly's team had agreed that he wouldn't be present during the interview.
