Who Approved This Official Racist Charlie Brown Social Media Post?
UPDATE: The Peanuts Twitter account has issued a statement.
"Earlier today a tweet from this account, featuring an image of two friends, was misinterpreted," the post reads. "As this was not the intended message of the post, it has been deleted so as not to perpetuate an inaccurate interpretation. The post was meant as a celebration of friendship."

The image finds Charlie Brown telling Franklin, "You're one of the good ones."
A Snoopy drawing from the official Peanuts Twitter account is facing backlash, with some social media users referring to the image as racist.
The drawing finds Charlie Brown telling Franklin, "You're one of the good ones." The image, which was posted on Twitter, included the following caption: "You are one of the best people I know."
Users, however, took offense to the message Brown is telling Franklin in the drawing. "You're one of the good ones," along with other statements like "If only more Black people were like you," are microaggressions that Black people frequently endure by white people. To white people, it's meant as a compliment, but to Black people it's anything but. It's a coded statement that highlights how racist the white person saying it is, despite them likely claiming that they're not racist at all.
The cartoon has since been deleted but people are still reacting to the drawing. Some of those reactions can be seen below.
