The original GOAT performed two of his most iconic songs for NPR's Tiny Desk series

It's been 31 years since Rakim (alongside partner Eric B.) released the classic debut album, Paid in Full. The God MC hasn't lost a step.

Rakim recently appeared on NPR's Tiny Desk, where he performed three songs. One of the tracks was  "King's Paradise," the title track for Season 2 of Marvel's Luke Cage, and Ra's first new solo track in almost a decade. Rakim also performed the title track for his debut album and "Know the Ledge," a song made famous by its placement on the Juice soundtrack.

What makes this performance enthralling is the fact that Rakim was joined by a nine-member band. Making things even greater, was the fact that Ali Shaheed Muhammad, of A Tribe Called Quest, played bass while Christone "Kingfish" Ingramwas on the guitar.
