R&B Singer Tweet Hospitalized For Blood Clots

Charlene Keyes, better known as singer-songwriter Tweet, is currently being hospitalized for blood clots both in her lungs and right arm.

Tweet's longtime boyfriend,Baltimore pastor Jamal Bryant, revealed her condition via Instagram, writing:

I need your prayers for Tweet. She's been admitted in hospital for blood clots in both lungs & right arm! Doctors can't trace it but God is a healer! Prayer still works...

Missy Elliott, a collaborator, and friend of the artist, also sent out of words of support via Twitter.

"Sending prayers up for my sis Tweet who has blood clots in both lungs...We are asking for your prayers for healing...Amen," Elliott wrote.

The condition is known as pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis, which often occurs in the legs or arms.

Tweet released her latest album,Charlene, in February last year. The album marked her return after being on hiatus for 11 years (prior toCharlene, Tweet's last full-length release was 2005's It's Me Again) and featured guest appearances from Elliott, as well as production from Timbaland.

She also contributed to Solange's acclaimed album A Seat at the Table, receiving songwriting credits for songs "Weary," "Mad," and "F.U.B.U."
