Report: Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving to Sign with The Brooklyn Nets
UPDATE: The Board Room has confirmed that Kevin Durant will sign a max deal with The Brooklyn Nets when the free agency moratorium ends on July 6th. Scroll on for the official announcement.
Say goodbye to double-digit Nets tickets.
In a stunning off-season turn, it appears The Brooklyn Nets will sign Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving this evening.
The venerable Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news in a tweet this afternoon, claiming both players are set to ink 4-year deals -- Durant signing for $164 million, while Irving takes home $141 million. Woj adds that DeAndre Jordan is also set to sign with The Nets this evening. There's no confirmation from either camp just yet, but an official announcement will be made at 6pm tonight on The Board Room's Instagram at the official opening of the NBA free agency.

The Nets' signings follow weeks of widely-broadcasting their pursuit of Irving. But reports published -- even within the last 24-to-48-hours -- had Durant picking between The Clippers and The Knicks (surely plummeting into one of the saddest days in franchise history) where there was the potential of being joined by fellow free agent and 2019 NBA Finals MVP, Kawhi Leonard.
Stay tuned for the official announcement.
