Rick Ross, Dwyane Wade, & Raphael Saadiq Just Released a Song Together "Season Ticket Holder"
Wade was inspired to be featured on a song after watching footage of Kobe Bryant.
Rick Ross and Dwyane Wade have unveiled “Season Ticket Holder” Wade’s first-ever appearance on a rap song.
The track features Ross’ signature sound in addition to the vocals of none other than Raphael Saadiq. The Miami Heat’s Udonis Haslem also appears on the single. Coming as no surprise, Wade raps about the finer things in life including his stunning wife Gabrielle Union, his collection of cars and his NBA Championship rings.
“Season Ticket Holder” follows Wade’s recent candid interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. During the show, he divulged that he supports his 12-year-old child’s decision to be referred to as Zaya. Back in December, the basketball star referred to his child with she/her pronouns, reports Out magazine. The Ellen appearance was in support of a new ESPN documentary D Wade: Life Unexpected.
In an interview with Good Morning America, Wade shared that he was inspired to be on a song after watching footage of Kobe Bryant. Rachel Nichols, the reporter who interviewed him also noted that he’d previously been in a rap group in the ‘90s. “I wanted to get on one song, one day,” he said. “Rick Ross, who's a good friend of mine, reached out to me and said, 'D, let's do a track for the city. So, last year I filmed a song with Rick Ross called 'Season Ticket Holder.'"
Rick Ross was recently nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap Song for his single featuring Drake “Gold Roses.” Though the track didn’t win, it was the first time he’d been nominated for an award in the prestigious category.
