Rolling Loud, Hip-Hop's Most Popular Festival, Makes its Return to New York [Photo Gallery]

Rolling Loud returned to New York this past weekend. The festival featured performances from Future, Nicki Minaj, Lil Baby, and more.

Rolling Loud is at its best when its giving voice to those who haven't hit their mainstream mark yet. Rolling Loud New York, which went down this previous weekend, began with performances from Lola Brooke, Young Devyn, Armani White, Kali, and Nems — artists who are currently riding viral success. The festival transitioned into fuller established acts, such as BIA, Rowdy Rebel, Westside Gunn, and Fivio Foreign. Friday's frigid temperature change couldn't stop the crowd of thousands from joining at the D'USSE and Fashion Nova stages for Lil Uzi Vert, Moneybagg Yo, and headliner Nicki Minaj.

Saturday took a bit of a turn with headliner A$AP Rocky appeared more than 20 minutes late. He also had difficulties with his performance, which he would later apologize for. However, Lil Baby, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, and Don Toliver carried the remaining part of the show that night on their backs. Shenseea, Glorilla, and Armani Ceasar respectively kept the energy high throughout the day into later in the night — proving, once again, why more women are needed on the Rolling Loud lineup.

By Sunday, home-grown talents like TSU Surf, Pap Chanel, J.I., and emerging artists Dreamdoll, Boldy James, and King Combs handled their respective sets. The canceling of 21 Savage's set caused disappointment across Citi Field with many fans still unclear about why he wasn't there. Shortly before Future's set, 21 took to Twitter to announce that he'd never perform at Rolling Loud again.

This slight disappointment would continue over into Future's set. Despite rumors of Cardi B, Travis Scott, and Drake making appearances, fans were treated to a few hits and even an appearance from Offset before heavy flooding and thunderstorms ultimately shut down the festival's final act.
