Saweetie Releases "Risky" Video & 'Pretty Summer Playlist: Season 1' EP
Saweetie’s new EP Pretty Summer Playlist: Season 1 also arrived late last night. The EP features appearances by Drakeo the Ruler, Bbyafricka, Loui and more.
Saweetie continues her agenda of keeping her fans satisfied with the release of her new single “Risky” featuring Drakeo the Ruler.
For the new track that released at midnight, the rapper flexes her flow in a way that we haven’t heard in quite some time, and it works. A few lines that stand out:
“Knew the head was specialHe giving brain like a geek
Dior cologne, that shit a bring out the freak
Fuck a fake nigga and a pick me bitch
Mouth slick, lunatic, leave a dirty dick sick
I'm Mrs. Untouchablе, I'm like a lunchable”
Other than her bars, the video is a prelude to what her summer will most likely entail: riding around with her friends, partying, and just enjoying being outside. Highlights of the clip include the bubblegum pink Honda she rides around in and the ‘00s diamond-encrusted thong she wears (it reminds us of Manny Santos’ thong moment in Degrassi).
Saweetie’s new EP Pretty Summer Playlist: Season 1 also arrived late last night. “Risky” is the first track on it. The release features seven tracks with appearances by artists like Bbyafricka (“Baby Mama Coochie,”) Kendra Jae (“See Saw,”) Lourdiz (“Back Seat,”) and Loui (“Talkin Bout.”) For the chorus on “Pretty And Rich” Saweetie snatches up the cadence first heard on Soulja Boy’s “Pretty Boy Swag.” Over on “Sweat Check,” she gives us a workout anthem that can also be added to your kickback playlist.
Over on “Sweat Check,” she gives us a workout anthem that can also be added to your kickback playlist. Also, we heard a slight jab on “See Saw” and we couldn’t help but think of Quavo and Saweetie’s recent public breakup. But, “Risky” is the standout on the EP, it might just be her early submission for song of the summer. After all, the early bird gets the worm.
