Scarface Is Currently Recovering After Successful Kidney Transplant Surgery
After a harrowing battle with COVID-19 last year, things are looking up for rap legend Scarface who recently underwent kidney transplant surgery.
Scarface is currently recovering from a successful kidney transplant surgery.
Last year, the rapper had a tough battle with COVID-19 which eventually led to kidney failure. Previous reports pointed to the need for a kidney transplant, it was later revealed that his son was a match and the two recently underwent surgery.
Chris Jordan, the rap legend’s son highlighted the news of the successful surgery on his Instagram and so did Rap-A-Lot founder J. Prince. Two feel-good messages were shared noting Scarface’s fans that things were looking up.
Jordan's caption shared, "What a journey it’s been. Surgery went well my dad is thriving kidney is working great!!!! Thank you all for the prayers. @brothermob love you family."
Prince’s Instagram post read:
“Congrats to my brother @brothermob & his son @_iamchrisjordan for giving his father one of his kidneys. I celebrate with the both of you for being an example of unending love. Chris, many people talk about how much they love your dad, but you have separated yourself from the talkers by your actions. We all salute the both of you and wish you both a speedy recovery.”
Back in July, Scarface expressed on a podcast interview that him and his son matched for the transplant: “A couple of days ago… well Friday they called me and said I was a match with my son.” He also shared, “So it’s any day now.”
Chris who was present for the interview added that he willingly would undergo surgery to give his dad his kidney. “I just told him when everything was going down, ‘Hey man, you don’t have to go through that. If I’m a match, I’ma do it.”
