In a new interview with USA Today, the TDE singer revealed that "The Weekend" is the next Ctrl track to get the visual treatment, and that it would be directed by none other than her fellow Afropunk performer.
According to SZA's interview with the outlet, the video was shot in 10 different locations with 10 different looks, though SZA refrained from revealing much else about the concept. The video will mark Solange's directorial debut in a year that saw her 2016 album, A Seat At The Table, recreated in various multi-disciplinary performances and museum exhibitions.
Her husband, Alan Ferguson, has been in the business of setting sights to sounds for a minute, helming music videos for Jay-Z, Beyonce, Fall Out Boy and more throughout the mid-'90s and 2000s. He also directed her video for "Don't Touch My Hair" and "Cranes In The Sky."
