The Internet's Steve Lacy Releases Debut Six-Track Solo Project
The Internet's youngest member, guitarist and songwriter Steve Lacy, has shared a six-track solo song series. Steve Lacy's Demos arrives on the heels of a fruitful year of collaborative work with both home team (prominently featured on both Matt Martians and Syd's solo projects respectively) and traveling talents like J. Cole(Lacy produced the 4 Your Eyez Only track "Foldin' Clothes",) and the pair of standout singles, "Dark Red' and "Some." Last night at the group's Webster Hall show in NYC, their performance comprised three sets of solo material, peppered with beloved crew cuts, making for a comprehensive introduction to each member's next chapter.
Along with the release of the song series Lacy has released a music video for both "Ryd" and "Dark Red." The combined video finds the artist serenading a girl at a laundromat, only for things to take an interesting turn halfway through. The video can be seen below.
Currently, the project is only available as an iTunes exclusive. Hit the link below to cop and hold tight for a broader release in the weeks ahead. Catch Steve Lacy on the road with the crew throughout the next few weeks, the dates for which are listed beneath the link.
