Slum Village's T3 Announces New Solo Album, Shares Lead Single "Relax," ft. Frank Nitt and Illa J

The venerable SV co-founder wrangles a pair of Detroit rap renegades for the first single off his upcoming album.

T3, is readying a new solo project, Mr. Fantastic, for release next week.

Ahead of the album drop, the venerable Slum Village co-founder has offered a glimpse of what's to come with a new single, "Relax," featuring fellow Detroit mic champs, Illa J (little brother of the late J Dilla,) and Frank Nitt, a frequent collaborator of the defunct trio.

Trading bars over a rugged and raw production with all the kung-fu swing trimmings, the three-piece salutes their shared origins with a round of loose and leisurely wordplay. T3's Mr. Fantastic arrives on January 17th via Delicious Vinyl, produced exclusively by Ruckazoid & Teeko. It follows a recent week-long salute to Dilla with Robert Glasper at NYC's Blue Note late last year.
