Kweli has previously talked about the highly-anticipated album that will be produced solely by Madlib. During an appearance at Sole DXB festival in Dubai last year, he shared that the project wouldn't be club friendly and that "There is no [song] for the ladies or one for the clubs." Prior to that, Kweli also talked with Ebro about it.
"This project with Madlib is done. We just trying to figure out when and how to release it," Kweli said, before revealing elsewhere in the pair's conversation that he listens to it "all the time."
In related news, Kweli's DJ, DJ Spintelect, also shared some details about the album. In an interview with Revolt, Spintelect said he had heard some of the project, including a track that features Nas.
