Terry Crews Settles Lawsuit Over Sexual Assault Claim Against Adam Venit
The actor's legal battle has come to an end.
Terry Crews has settled a lawsuit with his former agent, Adam Venit, who he alleges grabbed his crotch during a party back in 2016.
According to a report in The Blast, Crews, Adam Venit and his William Morris Endeavor talent agency (WME) have agreed to a settlement and are moving to dismiss the assault case. WME was also named as a defendant and confirmed the settlement Thursday in a statement.

Venit was reportedly leaving his position at WME. It's unconfirmed whether the decision was related to the settlement. According to The Blast, sources close to Venit say that WME plans to implement new workplace policies in relation to Venit's alleged behavior.
Crews was one of the most prominent men to come forward as victims in the #MeToo movement.
Last year, Crews opened up about the incident on Twitter, writing, “This whole thing with Harvey Weinstein is giving me PTSD. Why? Because this kind of thing happened to ME. My wife n I were at a Hollywood function last year n a high level Hollywood executive came over 2 me and groped my privates. Jumping back I said What are you doing?! My wife saw everything n we looked at him like he was crazy. He just grinned like a jerk.”
Crews eventually filed a civil suit against Venit and his former agency, WME.
Venit denied the allegations in his response to the lawsuit.
