The Chemical Brothers Announce New LP Featuring Q-Tip, St. Vincent, Beck + More
British electronic legends The Chemical Brothers have announced their upcoming LP, Born in the Echoes, which is due to drop on July 17th and features collaborations with Q-Tip, St. Vincent, Beck, Welsh singer-songwriter Cate Le Bon and UK house musician Ali Love. The new album will be the first proper full-length offering since 2010's Further.
News of Born in the Echoes came to the delight of fans of big beat and house--genres that were buffeted and pushed forward by The Chemical Brothers, a duo act comprised of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons. In a new interview with Resident Advisor, the group asserted "The most important feature of the album is that it connects with us emotionally in some way. We hope for finding a new way to make you feel. We dream of new sounds and different frames."
Fans dreaming of that Q-Tip collaboration will only need to wait until May 4th, when the album's first official single "Go" will debut, featuring The Abstract. The Chemical Brothers are a generous bunch, however, and have already shared the album's lead-off track "Sometimes I Feel So Deserted."
