The Internet's Matt Martians Announces New Solo Album with Breezy Single "KNOCK KNOCK"
The Last Party arrives on April 26th.
Matt Martians has announced his next solo project. The Internet and Odd Future family founder will release his sophomore standalone, The Last Party, next Friday, April 26th.
Yesterday, Martians paired the announcement with the release of the project's first single, "KNOCK KNOCK," a two-parter that splits the difference between the band's lo-fi r&b chops and Martians' sparse, jazz-blotted turns and melodies. The Last Party follows Martians critically-lauded solo debut, The Drum Chord Theory, which featured appearances from the whole band, as well as Tyler, The Creator and Kari Faux. His latest will see contributions from Steve Lacy (likely the next Internet solo project to drop, according to a tweet from earlier this month,) Mac DeMarco, Daisy, and Baby Rose.
