Watch The Roots and Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto Perform The 'Super Mario' Theme on 'The Tonight Show'
Last night, Nintendo pulled out all the stops on The Tonight Show. The video game giant, on the cusp of releasing its new console Switch, came through to showcase another forthcoming game-changer: Super Mario Run. And, of course, brought along the iconic plumber's creator, none other than, Shigeru Miyamoto. During the demo itself, Miyamoto sat in the wings, enjoyed the childlike grins of the show's host from afar. Then came a preview of the new console. Fallon naturally erupts into full-blown Nintendo-stan, losing a little bit more of his mind and as the system reveals its many transformations.
Safe to say Fallon's already on the pre-order list (if that's something celebrities even have to deal with.) At the conclusion of the segment, however, Miyamoto pops out of the stands and joins the mighty Roots crew on acoustic guitar for a playful rendition of the Super Mario theme. Watch Shigeru Miyamoto and The Roots rock on The Tonight Show down below and scroll down to catch an exclusive preview of both Nintendo's new console and the game you're sure to see everyone and their mothers playing come December 15th.
