Watch The Weeknd Debut New Music Live In London
It's no secret that The Weeknd has a new LP primed and ready for release (in fact, if you believe an odd iTunes glitch from earlier this month, then we already know its exact drop date). As such, it makes sense that the devilish R&B singer would treat fans to a sampling of what's to come, and that's exactly what happened during a UK performance Tuesday night. In the middle of his set, fans heard an entirely new song, which has been already been dubbed by some as "Mood Music 2" and features Abel Tesfaye once more signing in a smoky, boudoir fashion as slowly slinking drums draw us in. During Tuesday's performance, however, The Weeknd simply let the track play over the stereo system, rather than actually singing along into his live mic. Was he taking a breather, or just opting to join in on the fun of hearing an extra-rare cut along with his audience? Like so many things with The Weeknd, we may simply never know.
His new album, reportedly dubbed The Beauty Behind The Madness, may be dopping as soon as August 28th. For now, watch and listen as The Weeknd previews new music and, if that's not enough, re-visit his excellent single "Can't Feel My Face."
