Thundercat Drops Bowzer's Ballad + U.S. Tour Dates

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Thundercat drops a joint that will warm the hearts of gamers the world over with "Bowzer's Ballad" - a track dedicated to Nintendo President Hiroshi Yamauchi. Yamauchi passed away on September 19th at the age of 85 after guiding the corporation to the fore as a leading innovator in the world of video game design. Thundercat's 8-bit homage is a sinister bass-heavy dirge that captures the otherworldly emotional highs and lows often associated with scores of adventure fantasy games - a field of virtual gameplay that Nintendo pioneered during Yamauchi's tenure. The track arrives alongside a handful of tour dates that take Thundercat to a few cities in Europe before he returns stateside to rock a number of venues through November. Check the track below to listen to "Bowzer's Ballad." Scroll down to take a look at Thundercat's upcoming tour dates.
