T.I. Teamed Up With Atlanta Church to Bail Out Non-Violent Offenders for Easter

T.I. teamed up with an Atlanta church to raise bail for 23 people over the weekend,
The rapper led a fundraising drive alongside the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta and Love and Hip Hop's Scrapp Deleon dedicated to assisting
Twenty-three non-violent, mostly first-time defendants were bailed out of jail before Easter Sunday (April 21).
According to FOX 5, the drive began at the start of Lent with an initial target of raising $40,000 donations. The goal was surpassed with over $120,000 donations in 40 days, resulting in seven women and 16 men being bailed out. The money will also reportedly be used to start college funds for the children of those released. The program also pairs each beneficiary to with a mentor.
"For people to just reach out, willing to help out of the blue, them not knowing you from nobody...that's a blessing,"Tyron Pollard, one of the people aided by the "Bail Out" initiative told FOX 5 news. "It's like a whole new clean slate... I don't want to do nothing but do right and strive to be a model citizen for my kids."
