Travis Scott To Headline Day N Vegas Less Than a Year Following Astroworld Festival
Travis Scott will headline Day N Vegas, which is slated for September 2-4, his first festival performance since Astroworld in November.
Travis Scottis bouncing back with his first U.S. performance less than a year after the third Astroworld Festival. On Tuesday (June 7), Variety reported that Scott will headline Day N Vegas, which is slated for Labor Day weekend from September 2-4. In November, 10 Astroworld attendees died at the festival when the crowd surged during Scott's set. In the fall, Scott is also set to perform in South America for three installments of Primavera Sound.
Scott's last televised set was during the Billboard Music Awards 2022, where he performed “Mafia” and “Lost Forever." Prior to hosting the awards show, Diddy went to Instagram to explain his choice in requesting Scott to appear.
“For the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday I made a request; I made a demand,” Diddy said. “I said, ‘My brother Travis Scott has to perform. I’m executive producing, he has to perform,’ and NBC said, ‘Yes.’ It’s going down Sunday, Travis Scott will be performing … now that’s love.”
During Coachella in April, billboards for Scott's anticipated fourth studio album Utopia appeared along the highway. Prior to the last Astroworld Festival, Scott released two singles, "Mafia" and "Escape Plan," the latter which was featured on a third season episode of Atlanta.
Other acts scheduled to perform at Day N Vegas include fellow headliners SZA and J. Cole, Syd, Tems, Steve Lacy, Vince Staples, Jhene Aiko, Baby Keem, 21 Savage, Playboi Carti, Summer Walker, H.E.R., Jorja Smith, Trippie Redd, Freddie Gibbs, Pusha T, Aminé, T-Pain, City Girls and more.
