Trippie Redd Arrested For Aggravated Assault and Battery of a Woman

The newly hailed XXL Freshman rapper was arrested for the second time this month.

Trippie Redd is currently incarcerated at Fulton County Jail after being arrested on Tuesday in Atlanta, Georgia for aggravated assault and battery.

Born, Michael Lamar White IV, the 18-year-old Ohio rapper was accused of striking a woman against the head with a gun. According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to a dispute with a weapon call at 1:15 a.m. The unnamed victim told police White struck her in the head with a handgun and pointed a weapon at her before she was told to leave the scene of the alleged crime. Authorities say the assault caused substantial physical harm.

On the same day of the arrest, Trippie Redd was included in XXL’s Freshman Class of 2018.

The rapper is currently on probation, and is barred from possessing any guns. This has been White’s second arrest in the past month.
