Tupac's Platinum Record Plaques, Handwritten Essay + More Up For Auction
There's an awfully interesting lot of Tupac rarities that just hit the auction block. The late rapper's tragic and untimely death passed the 20 year mark just last month, and it appears that Goldin Auctions is poised to solidify the icon's imprint well beyond the two decade stretch, auctioning off platinum and gold plaques, a handwritten and illustrated childhood letter and, perhaps the auction's most compelling piece, an essay that detailed Pac's life story written by the man himself while he was in jail, addressed to Deathrow's Nina Bhadreshwar. It remains unpublished, but for the somewhat reasonable price of $10,000, it could be yours.
This is only the latest glimpse into the young mind of Tupac Shakur; his letters and essays from adolescence were featured in a profile on his one-time manager, Leila Steinberg. Outside of the forthcoming All Eyez On Me biopic, a film in which Johnny Depp investigates the murders of Pac and Biggiewas recently announced. So yeah, there's plenty more Pac musings in film and beyond planned for the near future. If you've got the bank roll, you can bid on the auction via the link below.
