Tyler The Creator Set To Conquer The Internet w/ Very Own Subscription-Based Web Channel
Tyler The Creator is getting ready to bring his Loiter Squad antics to epic new levels, inking a deal that will bring him to the masses through his very own web channel. It was announced that Whalerock Industries, the company that brought Glen Beck to some 400,000 $10/month subscribers nearly 4 years ago (yikes) will be adding a few more channels to their network, with Tyler leading the pack of Kardashians and radio renegade Howard Stern, all slated to be fit for a similar deal. The service will provide both free and paid content through the web and app-based distribution, hopefully providing the prolific Odd Future figurehead with a few added sources of revenue (though his manager seems skeptical) and grace us a few more mediums through which we can experience his quirk and inarguable charm. TTC's channel has yet to land a concrete launch date, but is expected to arrive in the coming months according to The New York Times, who broke the story in a profile of Whalerock's mission. Check back in the weeks and months, as we'll be sure to update when new info makes its way through.
