Tyler, the Creator Spends Lavishly in the Video for “Hot Wind Blows”
Tyler, the Creator and his Odd Future crew embrace European luxury in the new music video for “Hot Wind Blows.”
Tyler, the Creatortakes his opulence overseas in his new music video for “Hot Wind Blows.” The song, which appears on the original version of Call Me If You Get Lost and its deluxe edition The Estate Sale, features Lil Wayne, although the New Orleans legend doesn’t appear in the 2-minute visual.
Instead, Tyler’s friends from former rap collective Odd Future join in the trek for exclusive European locations, where they hike forests and catch yacht rides. The Estate Sale arrives nearly two years after Call Me If You Get Lost, which was released June 2021. To promote the album, in 2022, Tyler embarked on a North American and Australian tour, with Kali Uchis, Vince Staples, Teezo Touchdown and Tierra Whack as opening acts. Also last year, the 32-year-old rapper won his second Grammy Award in the Best Rap Album category, which he graciously shared with CMIYGL host DJ Drama.
“Hot Wind Blows” is Tyler’s fifth music video of the past week, following “Dogtooth,” “Sorry Not Sorry,” “Wharf Talk” and “Heaven to Me.”The Estate Sale includes eight new tracks, with features from Vince Staples (“Stuntman”), A$AP Rocky (“Wharf Talk”), and YG (“Boyfriend, Girlfriend”).
“Call Me If You Get Lost was the first album I made with alot [sic] of songs that didnt [sic] make the final cut,” Tyler wrote on Twitter last week. “Some of those songs I really love, and knew they would never see the light of day, so Ive [sic] decided to put a few of them out.”
