Tyler, the Creator Celebrates His No. 1 Album By Releasing a New Video
Tyler, the Creator releases the visuals for one of the Call Me If You Get Lost standouts.
Will Tyler, the Creatorrelease a video for every song on Call Me If You Get Lost? Seems like it.
On Thursday, Tyler released the video for "Lemonhead," one of the standouts from his album. The video is quick — less than two minutes — and features the rapper riding a boat on the ground and showing off some snazzy cars.
The video, which was directed by Tyler, is the fifth released from the album, following "Corso," "LumberJack," "WusYaName," and "Juggernaut." Call Me If You Get Lost is the most popular album in the country right now. The album, the rapper's sixth, debuted no. 1, moving the equivalent of 169,000 sales in the United States, generating more than 153 million streams on DSPs. It was Tyler's second no. 1 album, following IGOR in 2019.
After his album hit no. 1, Tyler went to Twitter to gloat and troll DJ Khaled a bit. In 2019, after IGOR beat out Khaled's Father of Asahdalbum, the usually gleeful DJ responded by taking a dig at Tyler. He said:
“I make albums so people can play it and you actually hear it. You know, driving your car, you hear another car playing it. You know, go to the barbershop, you hear them playing it. You know, turn the radio on, and you hear them playing it. It’s called great music. It’s called albums that you actually hear the songs. Not no mysterious shit that you never hear it.”
Tyler didn't forget. On Twitter he wrote:
