U-God Speaks On Drake x Wu-Tang Collaboration
Wu-Tang Clan fans can officially begin to chime in on the impending collaboration with Drake on a remix to the star's "Wu-Tang Forever" track off the emcees Nothing Was The Same LP according to a recent interview with the clan's U-God. The Universal God speaks on the admiration fellow Wu cohort Cappadonna possesses for the Canadian rapper and even claims the two had a track together before Drake blew up that is stashed in the crew-associate's vault. Offering some insight on the German recording sessions for the remix, U-God describes how quickly the track came together and how his association with the golden-era clique turned him into the "4 bar killer" that he is, expediting his writing process and uplifting his craft.
Apparently being crunched for time is of no issue for the group, as their quickly recorded rugged approach is slated to juxtapose the track's lilting piano licks and blatant romantic undertones. Though Inspectah Deck was apparently reluctant to lend his vocal to the track, the rest of the crew shall be fully represented on the star-studded remix. For more on the year's most anticipated collaboration, take a peek at U-God's interview with MTV News below and be sure to keep your ears posted for the release of the track in the weeks to come.
