Usher Hosts a Star-Studded House Party in "Don't Waste My Time" Video Ft. Ella Mai
The video features appearances by Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri and more.
Usher has dropped his new music video for his latest single “Don’t Waste My Time” featuring Ella Mai.
For the legendary R&B singer’s latest visual, he hosts a lavish house party filled with guest appearances. At the beginning of the clip, Snoop Dogg stars as a celebrity chef cooking up some snacks. Throughout the vibrant video, we also spot Jermaine Dupri, Christian Combs, Evan Ross and singer Eric Bellinger.
At one point, Ella Mai appears and sings her feature on the track as she relaxes near a stunning pool. As the video continues both Usher and Ella enjoy the festivities and are later joined by a vibrant crew of dancers, beautiful guests and other celebrities.
"Don’t Waste My Time" dropped back in December, it’s also Usher’s latest release since unveiling his 2018 project "A" with Zaytoven. Most recently, the singer also was a part of Summer Walker’s debut album on the single "Come Thru."
In a previous interview with Billboard, Usher touched on working with Mai on "Don’t Waste My Time." When speaking on recruiting her for the track he shared, "I genuinely am a fan of her voice, and also felt like the song was perfect for both of us."
He also shared:
"The more I listened to ‘Don’t Waste My Time,’ I felt like it was missing a female’s perspective. So we flipped it up, changed the second verse to a female’s story, and I felt like she was great for it. I reached out to her and it took a minute, but we finally managed to get in the room with each other, and the rest is becoming history."
Earlier this year Usher gave an acclaimed performance at the 2020 Grammys during a tribute dedicated to Prince alongside Sheila E. and FKA Twigs. Highlights of the performance include his renditions of "Little Red Corvette," "When Doves Cry" and "Kiss."
