Vanessa Bryant Shares Heartbreaking Post Reflecting on Kobe's Lasting Legacy: "Life Truly Isn't Fair"
In a lengthy Instagram post, Bryant unveils her current thoughts on the untimely death of Kobe and Gianna Bryant.
Vanessa Bryant has taken to Instagram to share a commemorative post honoring the lives of Kobe and Gianna Bryant.
For NBA fans, Mamba Day honors the lasting legacy Kobe left behind, but it also offers a day of reflection to remember how he breathed life into the league. In the caption of her post, Bryant expressed her thoughts on her late husband. She wrote:
"My husband worked his ass off for 20 years. Gave it his all. All he wanted was to spend time with our girls and me to make up for lost time. He wanted to be there for every single milestone and special moment in our girls lives. He only got to enjoy 3 years and 9 months of retirement. We had 2 more daughters, he won an Oscar, he opened Granity studios, he became a 5x best selling author and coached Gianna’s basketball team in that time."
The caption went on to explain candidly how Kobe inspired his daughter Gianna. Vanessa also added further thoughts on the helicopter crash that led to their untimely deaths. "She worked hard and gave her all 7 days a week just like her daddy. I wish I could back to that morning, every day. I wish they had a normal local game on 1/26. Life truly isn’t fair. This is just senseless."
It’s uncanny that Mamba Day became recognized prior to Kobe Bryant’s death which undoubtedly made the world stand still for days on end. His legacy, spirit, and energy will forever leave a lasting mark on his fans, lovers of the NBA and countless others.
