Video: Mumia Abu Jamal Speaks To Russia Today in 1st Interview Post-Death Row
April 10, 2012
Philadelphia native, activist, journalist, and human symbol of oppression Mumia Abu Jamal gave Russian state TV program Russia Today his very first interview since leaving death row early this year. In an 11-minute phone conversation, Mumia spoke on topics ranging from the flaws in America's justice and education systems to the NDAA law to his personal desire to visit Africa and even France--where a Paris street is named for him. All in all, Mumia demonstrates here his compassion, eloquence and fierce intelligence--perhaps his most dangerous qualities in the eyes of those who wish to see him executed. Watch and listen above, and find a transcribed version of the interview via RT.
