"If I said, 'This is for Colin/Ball up a fist/And keep it balled up/Like Donald the bitch,' they would be like, 'Get this ni**a out of here.'"

On Saturday, October 14, Vince Staples was a part of Pitchfork's latest In Sight Out series at Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art, when the topic of Eminem's surprise BET freestyle came up.

"It was trash," the Long Beach rapper said. "He can do better."

"If I said, 'This is for Colin/Ball up a fist/And keep it balled up/Like Donald the bitch,' they would be like, 'Get this ni**a out of here,'" Staples continued.

However, following the remark Staples took to Twitter to clarify his stance and say that the comments were "jokes."

From there the discussion spiraled, with some users criticizing YG's "FDT" and how the track largely went ignored for its anti-Trump stance in comparison to Eminem's freestyle. Staples also called out Eminem fans who like the rapper because "he looks like you."

Eminem's freestyle is still a topic of discussion, especially among his fans that are also Trump supporters. On Reddit, a thread titled "Huge Eminem fan and a Trump supporter" was created following the freestyle's release.

"I watched the cypher and obviously heard the ending yet I will still listen to Eminem's music because he is incredibly talented and I can’t wait to hear what he comes out with next," the creator of the thread, iReactionV2, wrote. "I'm just curious if there is anyone else who falls in this category or those who don't. What are your thoughts about his cypher and his opinions."

From there the thread divulges with users speaking on being fans of the Detroit rapper while also supporting Trump, as well as other users asking them why they voted for Trump in the first place. One particular entry of note happens to be this one, where a user by the name of ZombieEevee wrote about how they supported Trump because their family did.

"I guess I fall into this category…I mean I really only ‘support’ trump because my family does. (Hell even they only voted for the guy because he’s republican, they also think he is an idiot)," the user writes. "But at the end of the day, I don't think it’s possible for me to give any less of a f**k about politics. I don't listen to Eminem for politics. I let the news do that. I listen to Em for catchy beats and insane raps, as any normal human being should. If you love politics that’s fine, but let’s not have it overtake someone’s career."
