Vory Shares "Daylight" Collaboration with Ye
On Tuesday, Vory went to The Zane Lowe Show to premiere "Daylight" featuring Ye, from his forthcoming debut album Lost Souls.
As Vory inches closer to the release of his debut album Lost Souls, the Louisville crooner dropped new single "Daylight" featuring Ye. On Tuesday, Vory appeared on Apple Music 1's The Zane Lowe Showto discuss "Daylight" and how the song was originally supposed to be on Ye's 2021 album DONDA.
Daylight was a leftover from DONDA. We had recorded six records probably… "Daylight" was just one that didn’t really make the cut," Vory said. "But everyone loved it we just didn’t know where to put it at. Pusha T kept hitting me up about it, saying that's one of his favorite records. I hit up Ye and was like “Yo, we gotta do something with this record,” and he was like “Yo, put it on your album.”
Now "Daylight" will be on Vory's debut album Lost Souls, which is due for release on June 3rd. Along with Ye, the album will also have features from Fresco, Nav, Yung Bleu and more.
"It’s just rawness… lot of emotions, a whole different chapter in life for me," he said about the album. "It was a place I was in a year and a half ago. Every album is the same thing… the rawness, the realness, the vulnerability, you get everything with it."
Ye was last featured on posthumous XXXTentacion collaboration "True Love" which premiered in new Hulu documentary Look At Me: XXXTENTACION.
