Performing their 1997 collaboration, "A Song for Mama," from their respective at-home studios, the 90s r&b vets digitally reunited, splitting the screentime with a montage of cast members with their mothers. Weekend Update host, Michael Che, introduced the musical segment, dedicating the performance to "all of the mothers that can’t be with their children this year and all of the mothers that we’ve lost."
The season finale marked the show's third straight "at-home" edition, cutting sketches out of self-recorded bits from the cast.
