As you can see in the video above Smith's moonwalk is so smooth that you will probably find yourself watching it at least three or four more times, as your brain tries to comprehend how the multi-talented creative pulled off such a well-executed moonwalk. What makes the moment that much better is also the fact that he did this while wearing chunky SS18 Louis Vuitton sneakers.
Following his performance Smith was interviewed by Revolt, where he revealed that he was inspired to learn the dance move not only from the man who popularized it, Michael Jackson, but his mother, Jada Pinkett-Smith.
"I like to think that my mom taught me how to moonwalk," Smith said. "She's amazing at dancing, and I'd always watch Michael [Jackson] when I was young, and I just kind of picked it up."
Recently, Smith released his debut albumSyre. Made up of 17 tracks the album features only a couple of guest appearances from Raury and A$AP Rocky, with Smith handling most of the project on his own.
Smith also starred in this year's Netflix anime seriesNeo Yokio. Created by Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig, the show features Smith as a pink-haired, demon-slaying lead in "the greatest city in the world," a fictional locale that blends the best of New York and Tokyo.
