Watch Silk Sonic Cover Papa Roach's "Last Resort" In Las Vegas
After performing during their Las Vegas residency, Silk Sonic stopped by a nearby club and covered 2000 Papa Roach song "Last Resort."
Silk Sonic showed off their multi-genre chops on Sunday night (August 14). After holding a show during their Las Vegas residency at Park MGM, the duo comprised of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak surprised attendees of nightclub Barbershop with a post-show performance of Papa Roach song "Last Resort." While both singers held red Solo cups, .Paak stayed in his '70s-inspired attire, rocking a blond wig.
Along with a rendition of the 2000 Papa Roach track, the audience were also treated to a cover of Outfield’s “Your Love," along with the duo's band performing along with a DJ set with throwback music from Ja Rule and Clipse. The duo was also rumored to have performed The Police's "Roxanne" although their currently isn't a video of the segment online.
Per Las Vegas Review-Journal, it's rumored that Mars may open his own bar and lounge on the Las Vegas strip called The Pinky Ring by Bruno Mars. Partially inspired by the '70s sonics of his 2016 Grammy-winning album 24K Magic, the space will reportedly be in the Bellagio Hotel & Casino, currently occupied by Lily Bar & Lounge.
Earlier this year, Mars and .Paak won four Grammy Awards for their 2021 album An Evening With Silk Sonic, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song, all for "Leave The Door Open." The duo began their Las Vegas residency in May, taking a break in June and July before extending with nine more shows in August.
Bruno and .Paak's final shows during their Las Vegas residency will be held on August 16, 18 and 19.
