Watch Stevie Wonder & The Roots Dedicate a Touching Medley to Michelle Obama on 'The Tonight Show'
As you may already know, The Tonight Show was an all-star affair last night. Likely her last time on Fallon's late-night show as First Lady, Michelle Obama was joined by the likes of Jerry Seinfeld and Dave Chappelle for a run of "Catchphrase." Hilarity ensued. But at the tail-end of the show, The Roots assisted the immaculate Stevie Wonder in a touching and heartfelt dedication to the First Lady, performing the classics, "Isn't She Lovely" and "My Cherie Amour" with slight alterations to the lyrics to let FLOTUS know just how much we'll miss her (and her husband, of course.)
Wonder has been outspoken as ever during the 2016 presidential election, taking vocal stances against the upcoming change in regime. Recently, The Late Show called upon the Motown legend and Jon Stewart to help ease voting anxieties, though we're likely more anxious now than ever (not their fault, they tried.) Hold back the tears as you watch Stevie Wonder and The Roots serenade First Lady Michelle Obama with tailor-made renditions of "Isn't She Lovely" and "My Cherie Amour" on The Tonight Show below.
