Watch Teyana Taylor Win Season 7 of 'The Masked Singer'
On Wednesday, R&B vocalist Teyana Taylor was revealed as 'Firefly,' winning season seven of Fox music competition The Masked Singer.
Talent runs in the Shumpert family. On Wednesday, Teyana Taylor was crowned as the season 7 winner of hit Fox music competition series The Masked Singer, being revealed as "Firefly." The win comes just months after her husband Iman Shumpert won season 30 of Dancing With the Stars last November.
When The Masked Singer host Nick Cannon asked Taylor why she chose to be on the series, she explained, “I was like, this would be something really nice to do and just be able to sing again. It would be fun again and there’s no judgement. Nobody knows who’s behind the mask. You just get to sing your heart out.”
"That's what you did. You sang your heart out and you won. Your husband just won Dancing With the Stars and now you won The Masked Singer," Nick said. "Y'all got all types of trophies at the crib."
"Yeah, I got to put this next to the Mirror Ball," Taylor said, referencing the show's Golden Mask trophy.
Earlier in the finale, Taylor sang "Lost Without U" by series judge Robin Thicke, ending the finale with "Bad Girl" by Usher before her identity was revealed.
Taylor beat out an all-star lineup of contestants, including En Vogue as Queen Cobras, Shaggy as Space Bunny, Jennifer Holliday as Miss Teddy and more.
Taylor will embark on the second part of her farewell tour, entitled The Last Rose Petal 2… Farewell Tour across North America this summer, with stops in Cleveland, Denver, Atlanta and more.
