After capping his stateside tour with Flying Lotus at the Hollywood Cemetery, Thundercat has earned his time away from the stage.

But before he embarks on the European leg of his tour in support of the critically-adored 2017 album, Drunk, the Brainfeeder bass sage has offered fans a more intimate token of his live and direct game. Today, NPR Music has shared Thundercat's Tiny Desk Concert performance, featuring a stripped-down set of three selections from the album, including "Lava Lamp," "Friend Zone" and the only track in recent memory that technically qualifies for year-end superlatives in two non-consecutive years.
