How Does This "We Are the World" Quarantine Remix Compare to the Original?

As the world struggles with stay-at-home orders amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, musicians are taking matters into their own hands. A group of Long Island musicians recently banded together to cover "We Are the World" to raise morale.
The video comes on the 35th anniversary of the track, which originally raised funds for AIDS relief in Africa. Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and more appeared on the song.

"We may be down right now," the group said. "But we're not out. And although we can't be together...Long Island musicians united to create something special...we hope this heals your hearts just a little bit with the power of a song that takes on new meaning today."
Adam Seely and his wife Kristin produced the video. The two are members of the Billy Joel cover band Big Shot and 45 RPM's 'C'mon Get Happy' Show, respectively. Members of Average White Band, Decadia, and the Selena Experience appear in the video.

"The Long Island world of musicians is a family that misses each other," the group wrote at the end of the video. "But the one thing we miss even more...is you. Thank you for supporting live music. We will be back."
