Iconic NYC Venue Webster Hall to Close for an Indefinite Amount of Time

Iconic New York City Venue Webster Hall will be closing its doors in August for an unspecified amount of time to undergo renovations. When the venue reopens its doors, it will be under new management.

Gerard McNamee, who is the current operator, announced the news earlier on a Facebook post:
The legendary venue is to be purchased in a joint venture between Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment and AEG Presents. According to reports, Webster Hall will become a more concert-centric venue, with fewer club nights. They even plan on replacing the Marlin Room with an extra bar and waiting area.

The venue's final club night will be on Saturday, August 5th, and the final concert will be on August 9th.
