According to a report from the New York Times, a Swedish court ruled that Rocky poses a flight risk and will be detained while authorities investigate the incident that led to his detainment.
The incident being investigated is a fight that occurred between Rocky and his entourage, and two men that he they claimed kept following them in Stockholm.
One video taken of the altercation appears to show Rocky grabbing a man and tossing him several feet. After the video surfaced online, the Harlem rapper shared two videos related to the alleged assault on his Instagram.
The videos show two men speaking to Rocky and his entourage, with Rocky claiming in both that the men continued to follow them after accusing Rocky's bodyguard of breaking one of the man's headphones.
Rocky was in Stockholm for the Smash Festival, which he performed at Tuesday night.
Rocky is being represented by Henrik Olsson Lilja. Olsson Lilja told the Times that the artist "is very disappointed and this is a catastrophe for his tour." He also said that Rocky acted in self-defense.
The rapper and model tried to appeal his detention to the court of appeals but was denied. Now, Olsson Lilja is trying to appeal the decision through Sweden's Supreme Court, according to France24.
Per France24:
"Olsson Lilja said he thought the case might interest the Supreme Court since he didn't think the prosecutor had properly justified why Mayers was a flight risk -- and that this also needed to be weighed against the consequences for his client, who was on a European tour."
A number of rappers have shown support to Rocky, including fellow A$AP Mob member A$AP Ferg. Ferg took to Instagram to share a picture of Rocky, and claimed that he is being held in solitary confinement with no visit or phone call privileges.
"They are trying to keep him there for 2 weeks and if convicted he will be looking at 6 years just for defending himself in a fight," Ferg wrote.
