Stream Aretha Franklin's Memorial Service Live From Detroit, Michigan
Update: During Aretha Franklin's funeral, Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan announced that Chene Park will be renamed Aretha Franklin Park.
Duggan said he already met with Detroit City Council members and je will send them a proposal for approval by Tuesday.

Aretha Franklin is getting the sendoff she deserves
The Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin is being laid to rest today, August 31st, in a private memorial setting in her hometown of Detroit, Michigan.

The “Celebration of Life” memorial service will be taking place at the Greater Grace Temple in Detroit. The memorial service started at 9:30 AM EST and will go on until 3:00 pm. (Even though it does seem like the memorial service is already behind schedule.)
As you can see from the schedule, we'll see appearances from Bill Clinton, Stevie Wonder, Ron Isley, Chaka Khan, Ron Isley, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Tyler Perry, Smokey Robinson, and more.

All will gather to celebrate the life of the Brilliant Franklin, who died at the age of 76 on August 16th.
