Will Smith is currently overseeing the development of a new The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air spinoff series. According to Hollywood Reporter, the actor and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith's newly launched company Westbrook is handling production for the show.
Smith is gearing up for the release of his latest film, Gemini Man out on October 11. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot would add to the list of diverse media the multi-hyphenate has been surrounding himself with recently. Less than a month ago, he joined the rising social media platform TikTok. Less than two years ago he joined Instagram, he now boasts almost 40 million followers on the app.
Originally airing on NBC in 1990, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air concluded in 1996. It was brought to life by its two co-creators Smith and Quincy Jones. Beloved stars on the scripted series included Alfonso Ribeiro, Tatyana Ali, James Avery and Karyn Parsons.
