You Can Soon Indulge In Beer Inspired By And Aged To The Tune Of Wu-Tang
There's a new beer in the works from Philly-based brewing company Dock Street that's getting a very special Wu-Tang twist. Dock Street is currently developing a Shaolin-inspired brew, that is aged six months to the tune of Wu classics...literally. Their maturing process actually involves blasting Wu-Tang through the barrels and hoping that the rugged and raw reverberations manifest in some hoppy alchemy that busts through the wood and into the beverage, which will apparently be a spicy pineapple, orange tart type of drink, appropriately titled "Wu-Tang Ain't Nothing To Funk With." Dock Street chief Vince Desrosiers explained his conquest to Philly Mag:
"It started as a joke, and then we wondered if the bass would cause enough vibration to move the yeast around and create some different flavours during fermentation.”
But even with the brew still a ways out from completion, Desrosiers has a plot to extend the theory to a full blown musical series of hip-hop inspired drank, with Run The Jewelson deck for their next concoction. We'll be patiently waiting for those to come, but in the meantime, you can scope out the Philly-bred brewery by hitting the link below.
