Busta Rhymeshas released the latest video from his upcoming album, Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God. The video is for the song "YUUUU" which features an appearance from Anderson .Paak.
The video, which was directed by Benny Boom & Busta Rhymes himself, features the two MCs as rivals. The video is clearly paying homage to old Spy vs. Spy cartoons that used to appear in Mad Magazine. (Remember Mad? Remember magazines?)
"YUUUU" follows the release of "The Don & The Boss,” which features dancehall legend Vybz Kartel.
The Wrath of God is the sequel to Busta Rhymes' 1998 cult classic E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event): The Final World Front. Earlier this year, Rhymes announced the new album with Chris Rock. The rapper shared the announcement on Instagram and YouTube, and features Rock bragging about Busta before revealing the title of the album. Although the album is said to be coming soon, no exact date has been revealed. But 2020 would be the perfect time for Busta Rhymes to return to his apocalyptic themes considering that, more and more, it seems like the end is near.
Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God would be the first official Busta album since Back on My B.S. dropped in 2009. (In 2012, Busta released a free album with Google Play called Year of the Dragon that you really can't stream at most places anymore.)
