Earl Sweatshirt Announces New Album 'Some Rap Songs,' Drops Gritty Single "Mint"

Earl is coming outside again.

Earl Sweatshirt has announced that he's releasing a new album next week (November30th). The album will be calledSome Rap Songs, and it will be the first new LP from the rapper since 2015 (when he dropped the excellentI Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside: An Album by Earl Sweatshirt.) The rapperalso released the trippy cover for the album.

Two weeks ago Earl dropped "Nowhere2go." Now, today, November 20th, the rapper released the follow up single "Mint." The song featuresNavy Blue and wasproduced by Black Noi$e. You can listen to it below.

One of the things to expect on the new album is commentary on his father, South African poet Keorapetse Kgositsile who died earlier this year at the age of 79.

According to Pitchfork, Earl released a statement saying:

Me and my dad had a relationship thats not uncommon for people to have with their fathers, which is a non-perfect one, Earl said. Talking to him is symbolic and non-symbolic, but its literally closure for my childhood. Not getting to have that moment left me to figure out a lot with my damn self.
